東方:East
西方:West
北方:North

如in the+方位名詞 表示在范圍之內(nèi)
on the+方位名詞 表示兩地接壤
to the+方位名詞 表示在范圍之外 (如美國與中國)
on是相鄰,to是不接壤,in是在境內(nèi)果和中國接壤,
像湖北和湖南，廣東和廣西這樣在地理上接壤的就是相鄰，用on，像中國和日本那樣就叫相離，用to，特別注意的是，臺灣在中國境內(nèi)，要用in

2英語方位的表達
1：A lies on the 方向 of B : A 位于B的某個方向(且兩地接壤)
A lies to the 方向 of B : A 位于B的某個方向(不接壤) Beijing lies to Shanghai.
lie off ：“在離……的海上”。 例如 They lie on the island off the coast of Guangdong.
2.northeast 的意思是東北部，是名詞。northeastern的意思是東北的; 來自東北的; 向東北的; 東北部的，詞性是形容詞，用來修飾名詞，用法就會不同了

to表示動作的方向，或目的地，例如：

at可以表示動作所瞄準的目標，例如：
The boy threw the bone at the dog.
Look at the blackboard.
The crowd threw stones at the police.
for表示“前往”，即要到達的目的地。如：
I'll leave New York for Washington tomorrow.
I don't know when they left for Washington.
The train for Washington has already arrived.
