英語(yǔ)中的“約數(shù)”如何表達(dá)

　　英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)中，當(dāng)我們要用英語(yǔ)表示“多于某個(gè)數(shù)”“少于某個(gè)數(shù)”或“大約在某一范圍內(nèi)的數(shù)”時(shí)，常常不知所措。其實(shí)，這些問(wèn)題都屬于“約數(shù)”的范疇。“約數(shù)”就是一個(gè)不確定的數(shù)。在漢語(yǔ)中，我們通常將其表述為“左右”“大約”“將近”“……多”或“不足……”等。英語(yǔ)中“約數(shù)”的表達(dá)法有多種，現(xiàn)就課本中出現(xiàn)的幾種情況作一歸納，供同學(xué)們學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)參考。

　　一、用形容詞表達(dá)“約數(shù)”。常用的形容詞有some，many，much，few，little，several，enough等。如：

　　My friend can speak several languages.

　　我的朋友能說(shuō)幾種語(yǔ)言。

　　Didn’the give you some money?

　　他難道沒(méi)有給你一些錢?

　　二、用介詞表達(dá)“約數(shù)”。常用的介詞有above，over，below,under，past等。如：

　　The high building is over 200 metres.

　　這座高樓超過(guò)200米。

　　Under 20 people were present then.

　　There is nothing in this shop above five pounds.

　　這家商店沒(méi)有售價(jià)超過(guò)五英鎊的商品。

　　當(dāng)時(shí)到場(chǎng)人數(shù)不到20個(gè)。

　　三、 用副詞表達(dá)“約數(shù)”。常用的副詞有about，around，nearly，

　　almost，hardly，some等。如：

　　We have about forty minutes to go.

　　我們大約還要走40分鐘的路。

　　The Great Wall is around 6，700 kilometres long.

　　長(zhǎng)城大約有6700公里長(zhǎng)。

　　Almost no one took any rest.

　　幾乎沒(méi)有人休息。

　　四、用數(shù)詞表達(dá)“約數(shù)”。常用的數(shù)詞有tens，hundreds，thousands，millions及billions等。用這些數(shù)詞表示約數(shù)時(shí)，其后通常跟介詞of。如：

　　Tens of thousands of trees will be planted there.

　　那里將種植成千上萬(wàn)棵樹(shù)。

　　Hundreds of Young Pioneers will visit the new factory.

　　成千上萬(wàn)名少先隊(duì)員將參觀這座新工廠。

　　五、用詞組表達(dá)“約數(shù)”。常用的詞組有or so，more or less，a number of，less than,more than等。如：

　　There are ten books or so in my schoolbag.

　　我書包里大約有10本書。

　　The car went sixty kilometres，more or less.

　　這輛汽車走了60公里左右。

　　I have a number of things to do.

　　我有許多事情要做。

　　另外，用“or”也可表達(dá)“約數(shù)”。如：

　　He goes there once every two or three days.

　　他每隔兩三天去那里一次。

　　He*9謘ll be back one or two days.

　　他一兩天就回來(lái)。
